Crestline California is located about 15 minutes from Lake Arrowhead California and 90 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Crestline is the home of beautiful Lake Gregory and sits at an altitude of about 4800′ above sea level. This mountain community is surrounded by magnificent forests of pine, oak and cedar.  

           The Crestline resorts are situated on privately owned acres totally enclosed within the 812,000 acres of San Bernardino National forest. The name Crestline was chosen back in 1906 as a part of a contest sponsored by H.A Guernsey, in an effort to promote real estate development, which several others owned. Dr. Wesley Thompson submitted the winning name.

            Lake Gregory, a man made lake, was created in the early 1930′s. The great town of Crestline has been known as the prefect family oriented mountain and vacation destination.

            Access from the San Bernardino Valley is via Historic State HWY 18, a nationally designated scenic byway known as “Rim of The World Highway” and provides magnificent views ranging on a clear day to the Pacific Ocean, and Catalina Island visible in the distance.

            Crestline Village is host to various events and recreation activities year round.Lake Gregory offers  trout fishing, catfishing, shore fishing, float tube fishing, swimming and water slides, aqua cycle rental, paddle board rental, sail boat rental, rowboat rental, basketball rental, sand volleyball and Hiking trails.

It’s the time of year when Lake Arrowhead residents are taking advantage of the beautiful weather as they begin projects around the home.The 15th Annual Mountain Home Improvement Expo, in partnership with the Association of Building Contractors and the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce is just around the corner! If you are looking for a Roofing Contractor, Home Loan or Refinance Help, Landscaper, Realtor, Plumber or maybe you would like to find new ideas for your home; the Home Improvement Expo is the perfect event for you.

Booths will be scattered all around the Lake Arrowhead Village Peninsula located in the middle of great shopping, dining and entertainment. There are countless ways to celebrate 4^th of July in Lake Arrowhead. This annual event draws a huge crowd to Lake Arrowhead, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead for a great 4^th!

       Lake Arrowhead offers a spectacular fire works show, and great events all weekend long. Spectators from all over gather around the shoreline, at the Beach Clubs, Lake Arrowhead Village, on docks, at homes and in boats awaiting Lake Arrowhead’s biggest event of the year. Come early for best parking and viewing locations.

Below is a list of 4^th of July events in Lake Arrowhead.

Friday July 2, 2010: Lake Arrowhead Village presents family movie night. The movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” will begin at dusk.

Friday July 2, 2010: Lake Arrowhead Village Farmers Market. Certified produce vendors, Fresh bread, and unique Vendors From 4pm – 8pm

Saturday July 3, 2010: Summer Concert Series in Lake Arrowhead Village. Concerts start at 5:30 pm at Center Stage.

Jensen’s Market of Lake Arrowhead hosts fundraiser for the Mountains’ Humane Society

From June 12 through June 26, Jensen’s Grocery store located in the Lake Arrowhead area is hosting a fund-raiser in support of the Mountains’ Humane Society.

In these economically challenging times, it can be difficult for some pet owners to feed their furry friends. The Mountains’ Humane Society has established a pet food bank!Purchase a $1 or $5 “paw” during the event & 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to the humane society! Jensen’s will have selected pet items on sale & free dog treat recipes will be available during the event.

In addition, a representative from the Humane Society will be at the following Jensen’s locations, offering pet adoption information, spay & neuter information & pet tag engraving services. 

~Cedar Glen location on June 12,

~ Running Springs location on June 19,

~ Blue Jay Village location June 26 from 10am to 2pm.( Jensen’s Blue Jay location only, can customers meet the owners of Fresh-Fetch Dog Food & Bones & Scones Dog Treats on June 26 from 10am to 2pm. )

Show up at the South Shore parking lot on San Moritz Drive near the start of the trail a little before 9am for a slow to moderate walk around the lake.
