Rim of the World Recreation and Park District

“We Create Community Through People, Parks and Programs.”

As a RE/MAX Lakeside agent who specializes in Lake Arrowhead Real Estate, I find that clients seek as much information on Lake Arrowhead as possible before considering relocation. The Rim of The World Recreation & Park District is just one of the organizations I like to touch upon when offering such information.

The Rim of The World Recreation & Park District has been serving Lake Arrowhead and its surrounding communities including Blue Jay, Crestline, Green Valley Lake, Rim Forest and Running Springs since 1985. This independent local district is an important part of our lovely mountain community. There mission is: “creating community through people, parks and programs”. If you live in Lake Arrowhead or  the surrounding communities chances are you have visited one or more of there facilities or participated in one of the various Recreation programs they offer. Programs consist of a varity of activities including Basket Ball, Track & field, Drama & Acting and even CPR classes.  For more information on The Rim of The World Recreation & Park district’s programs or facilities just CLICK HERE!

RE/MAX Lakeside Mixer Was A Big Hit!

RE/MAX Lakeside Mixer was a Big Hit!

It was a packed house Thursday evening at the RE/MAX Lakeside office as we played host to the first Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce Mixer of 2010. With an estimated attendance of 60 local business owners, who enjoyed great food and drinks, the mixer was a wonderful opportunity to network and promote business in the Lake Arrowhead area. RE/MAX Lakeside would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Leslie, Lewis, and the entire Chamber of Commerce staff for allowing us to host this event. As RE/MAX Agents who specialize in Lake Arrowhead Real Estate we would like to thank all who attended, we are truly delighted and grateful to have so many Chamber members show there support.

Big congratulations to Brent and Lynice Hightower who were the winners of the evening taking home a special gift package featuring private selection wine from the Lake Arrowhead Vintage Series and wine tasting for four to Vino 100.

What a great way to kick off the year! Keep your eyes on RE/MAX Lakeside because we have good things on the horizon for 2010.

Lake Arrowhead Government

Lake Arrowhead is an unincorporated area governed by the County of San Bernardino. It is not a city. A County building in Twin Peaks houses building and safety.

The County also provides a Library in Blue Jay. The California Highway Patrol has a facility in Running Springs. Fire protection and Paramedic services are provided by the Lake Arrowhead and Crest Forest Fire Districts with four full time and four volunteer stations located in the Arrowhead area. In addition, the Forest Service and California Division of Forestry provide fire protection facilities, equipment and personnel in the area.

The Rim of the World School District covers not only the Lake Arrowhead area but also the Crestline and Running Springs areas. The single high school and junior high school as well as (2) of the district’s five (5) elementary schools are located in the Arrowhead area.
